December Photo Diary...Thursday, January 05, 2017
December 2016 was such a fun month and it went by in blur of baby prep, Christmas festivities, spending time with family and friends and eating way too much. So I thought before my 2017 posts get under way I would recap on the month. The month started off with my baby shower, my sister in law Ruth organised the whole thing & it was such an amazing day. The day was spent playing baby games including guess the baby weight and date and topped off by this amazing Peter Rabbit cake. It was such a lovely way to celebrate being pregnant and having a baby with all my favourite girlies.
Every year my parents, Dave & I attend one of the National Trust Christmas markets, the past two years we have gone to the one at The Argory. I just love walking around all the stalls, drinking mulled wine and hot chocolate, eating crepes and listening to the live brass band play.
December was also a month full of relaxed weekend walks in quaint locations with Dave and our dogs. As I get further into my third trimester my walking speeds have definitely slowed down but I love being outside, walking and moving about is way more comfortable than sitting down!
Of course it wouldn't be December without some Christmas cooking, I made these gingerbread men last year and again this year and think its going to become a tradition to make them every year! Every year I also like to wrap my presents in a different way. In the past Ive used sleigh bells or homemade ceramic Christmas tree tags, this year I chose a simple brown paper and deer print paper with red ribbon and a fresh stem of spruce.
