My Favourite Smoothie Recipes...Monday, March 21, 2016
Way back in January when I talked about my New Years resolutions I mentioned that I wanted to generally eat healthier and specifically eat more fruit which was something that was definitely lacking from my current diet. Since then Dave & I have been making smoothies every night to take to work the following day, its now something I really enjoy and stops me craving sugary snacks before my lunch break. So I thought id share some of my favourite fruit combos for you guys to try at home. Simply stick all your ingredients in a blender and blend away until smooth. Super simple and super tasty!
The GREEN one
Handful of spinach, handful of kale, 1/2 a banana, frozen melon balls and 1/2 a glass of pure orange juice.
(This is my favourite of all the smoothie combos, its not tarte or acidy and the overall taste is a mellow melon/banana flavour.)
The RED one
Handful of blueberries & cherries, handful of red grapes, 1/2 a banana and 1/2 a glass of pure orange juice.
The TROPICAL one (Dave's favourite)
Handful of frozen melon balls, small handful of pineapple (we use frozen), 1/2 a banana, handful of grapes, 1/2 a passionfruit and 1/2 a glass of pure orange juice.
