Between the buttercups...

Thursday, June 25, 2015

between-the-buttercupsOver the years I have read a lot of blog posts and how to guides online of tips and tricks to drive more traffic to your blog. One tip that is always mentioned time and time again is meaningful blog post titles. I dunno about you guys but when Im writing a personal style post like this one 'meaningful' SEO style titles just dont sit right with me. Maybe this post should be called how to style a midi-dress or how to style summer florals?
But when its just a laid back post telling you guys about my week and what Im wearing I like to take inspiration from the photos or a song or my mood.
So here it is, the most un-SEO post title, but I like it. :)

floral-vintage-midi-dress belfast-fashion-blogThis dream of a dress was gifted to me by a Dublin based independent store known as I love carousel. They specialise in feminine vintage inspired clothing and have the most amazing selection of retro print dresses. I picked this pretty little number in a duck egg blue with floral pattern that reminds me of an old tapestry design.
Ive already worn it twice, once as styled in these photos and once to a family christening with nude heels and a baby blue trench coat. I think Ill be getting a lot of wear out of it this summer!

  6. Oh! I hear you! I'm always torn between SEO and writing song lyrics! This dress is so beautiful and the fact that you've worn it in two different ways already is testament to how much it's worth the 69 Euro price tag (although, id be tempted to sign up to get 5 euros off!) xx

  10. This summer dress is so pretty and I love how it looks with the super green background. I understand wanting nice-sounding post titles too but I tend to just describe the outfit instead. I did notice better google referrals after I started doing that!
