My Wedding: The service & the flowers...Thursday, September 04, 2014
Thank you to everyone who left me comments on here, twitter and instagram. It was lovely reading all your lovely messages about Dave & I's special day. Ive shared the dress and the outfits now onto the service! Dave & I got married in my childhood church just a few miles from my family home & our reception venue.
I love this photo just as Im about to enter the church, I have no memory of this moment! I was so flipping nervous!
Outside the church we had my bike set up with ivy streaming out of the basket and a bouquet of flowers attached on the back.
My bridesmaids bouquets, hair styles & jewellery were all different to suit each bridesmaid. My sister Sophie far left had a bouquet of astilbe which kind of looked like candy floss! My cousin Heidi in the middle had a bouquet of double petal eustoma in soft pink last but not least my bestie had a bouquet of garden roses. All the bouquets had strands of ribbon hanging down in pink, peach, lavender and pale green. The same colours of larger ribbons were tied to all the pew ends inside the church.
My bouquet was amazing if I do say so myself and was made of all my favourite flowers- ranunculus, David Austen roses, miss piggy two tone roses, wax flower & silver leaves known as senecio. My bouquet has strands of lace ribbon hanging down to give it a vintage feel. (all my flowers were done by mum who is a florist) For our service we had string quartet Arco- part of the Ulster Orchestra perform as people were arriving and also along with the hymns. Then as we were signing the register my brother sang his own version of Taylor Swift & Ed Sheerans song- everything has changed.
I love this photo as you can see the back on my bridesmaids dress, they had such a deep low v at the back which really made the dresses stand out from the back.
Outside the church we gave close family and friends confetti poppers to let off as we walked down the aisle of guests. They were awesome and we got so many great photos of the confetti exploding all over us. :) yay thats it for part two! Lastly to some up my little series of wedding posts ill share the reception venue, the decor and the menu! :) xx
