New beauty products I love...

Monday, October 28, 2013

Ive never stated that I was a beauty or make up expert, because Im not. What I am is a girl with extremely sensitive and problem prone skin who has tried and tested a lot of products and knows what works and what doesn't for my skin.

My skin doesn't seem to be as fussy with make up but one thing it hates is different face creams, toners, moisturisers. Which makes me nervous to try new things even if there is the chance they may help improve my skin. My problem is two fold, under the skin spots that hurt like hell and rosacea which is a chronic skin condition which leaves my nose, chin and cheeks a pinky red colour which I am very self concious about.
Mario Badescu has been a brand I have sworn by for the past 8 years to help with my skin & a new (to me) product is the anti acne serum. This has been a god send to me with painful under the skin spots and surface pimples. It doesnt dry the skin out and helps with any pain while helping clear the spot away. It can also be used on areas you are prone to spots even when u dont have them. A little goes a long away and I use this every night on my chin.
La Roche-Posay Rosaliac Skin Perfecting Anti Redness Moisturizer was a product I had never heard of until my lovely other half Dave pointed it out to me in Boots and suggested I try it. This moisturiser has a lovely consistency and a green tint which helps neutralise any redness I have. It calms my skin if its angry or about to break out & absorbs easily.

Stila In the Light palette, this has become an everyday favourite of mine. I much perfer the natural tones in it to my naked palette as I find the colours easier to blend and not as heavy. It has my favourite shade Kitten (2nd in on the top row) which is the best base colour ever & a lovely pigmented gold (far left bottom row).

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick no16 I have a few of the Kate Moss lippys as I love how non drying they are on your lips and how bright the colours are. This shade is my new fav for everyday its the perfect coral/pink colour that lends itself to almost everything.
Collection Eyeshadow Pencil, Vintage Blush I bought this based on the colour alone, its the prettiest pinky gold that I thought would be perfect for a shimmery subtle look. What is even better is its quick and easy to use, its so soft that you can just dab a little in the corner of your eye or brow bone and smudge and you're done!

Talking about make up or beauty products is something Ive never really done before... Basically because my skin is a sensitive topic for me and I have never wanted to draw attention to it. But hopefully some you found my review informative or helpful & if you'd like any more reviews/advice for dealing with problem skin or you'd like to know more about my skin issues maybe Ill finally have the confidence now to share it. :) xx

Just wanna say thank you to everyone who stops by & supports my blog, I really have the nicest readers and you guys have helped shape who I am today as a person & a blogger. xx
(soppy overload?!)

  1. I'd forgotten about Stila, it's such a great little brand. I haven't tried anything from La Roche Posay yet - I want to as it's always next to Vichy products (which i really like!). I definitely love a good beauty post! I love beauty but I'm no expert really either...

  2. These stuff seems to be amazing <3

  3. Great post! right up my street.

  4. Vicki, you are the sweetest :) I loved this review - our skin dictates so much about how we feel when we present ourselves to the world, and I think it's so great that you've shared what has been working for you!
