Magpie Girl old mirror

A very simple DIY to share with you guys this Friday evening... Being on a strict budget with all my spare money going into Dave & I's wedding fund I found myself remaking and tweaking things to make them work for me and make them feel new. One such thing was a dingey old pine mirror that Ive probably had since I was a teenager.
I decided to revamp it and here's how....

For this you will need an old wooden mirror. Be sure to clean it well before applying paint.

I used a gold enamel spray paint but you could use any colour metallic or otherwise.
The pink paint is chalkboard paint as I love the matt finish it gives, plus I had it to hand.
Other items you'll need: paper and tape to cover the corners. I used washi tape as it is easy to remove without taking any coating off my mirror and of course a paint brush.

So first cover your mirror and corners with newspaper. Then spray paint preferrably outside or in a well ventilated room. Once dry remove the tape and paper and paint your corners using your contrasting colour. I used the hot pink chalk board paint.
Volia! New and improved mirror!
