Magpie girl makes... Mini bunting.

Friday, May 10, 2013

Back in March I said Id be introducing a new feature on my blog from time to time.. Magpie girl makes. This is No 2 in the series, a cute little idea to decorate a wall or under a shelf or across handles of a dresser.
How to make mini bunting.

You will need:
A bunting template, pritt stick, a pencil, a ruler, baker twine ( normal string is fine I just liked the two tone colour of the bakers twine) a roll of paper (pretty wallpaper could work too) roll of washi tape.

magpiemakes1
Fold the paper and draw round the bunting template along the fold, as many as you need depending on how long you want your bunting.

Place the twine in the fold of each bunting triangle and stick closed.

Then place a rectangle of washi tape in between each bunting triange and snipped a small triangle out of the ends to create a ribbon shape.

Then make a separate string to run vertical down the wall, I chose some little instagram prints
and stuck them down with washi tape so I could interchange them easily.

Then hang on the wall, I was lucky enough to have nails previously in my wall and just wound the twine around them to hold it in place. But you could also use washi tape or blue tack.

You can see my first Magpie girl makes here. :) Hope this inspired you to get crafty this weekend! xx
