The guy behind my blog...Thursday, April 11, 2013
Behind a lot of great blogs there is usually a supportive boyfriend or hubby holding the camera... My blog is no different and while I spend most of my posts talking about myself I decided to dedicate this post to my other half. The guy who takes all my photos, handles any html issues I have, at the drop of the hat helps me when I need him & is always supportive. So as strange as it was I interviewed Dave & asked him some questions so you guys can learn a little more about him...
First Name: David
The best part of dating a blogger is....Vicki is always brainstorming, creating or dreaming about something - she's a very inspirational person to be around!
The most difficult/annoying thing about dating a blogger is.... Honestly, nothing has occurred to me over the past three or four years, so I have to say I don't know. Although I admit that I sometimes worry about my self presentation, because Vicki is always so beautifully turned out To quote my mum: "David, for goodness sake! Vicki always looks so lovely and you look like a dogs dinner!" Poor me eh??
If I were going to start a blog, Id write about....Hm... I actually tried to start a blog that was related to my PhD research. In particular, I wanted to write about the search for peace and justice in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It's an issue I feel very strongly about, but one that few people seem to know about. In the end, there are already much better sources of information than I could ever provide, so I left it to the experts! Check it out if you like: http://ictj.org/our-work/
Because I blog, you've learned...So much more about Vicki than I might otherwise have done. In particular, I think she was quite low in confidence about her creativity and talent when we first met. Since she became the magpie girl she has really come out of her shell!
Favourite blogs/websites? www.themagpiegirl.com (goes without saying!) www.icc-cpi.int (nerd alert) www.mpc-forums.com (music/samplers) www.allmusic.com (music encyclopedia type website) Not sure what else .... there are loads of blogs about people and their vinyl lp collections but I would be here all day listing them all... I also really like .... http://www.ireland.com (come visit us!!)
