Friday Finds...

Friday, January 25, 2013

I missed doing my Friday Finds last week due to the fact that we lost our internet and electricity because of the insane snow fall... This week I had an idea in my mind of what I wanted to share but I wasnt sure. It was something Im shy about... I dunno why. Maybe cause its kinda of personal or because Im not doing it for anyone but myself anyway. This all sounds very cryptic doesnt it? So I guess Ill just get on with it! A month or so ago I came across a project called Project Life where you journal and photograph and document every week of the year in an album. The point is to capture and remember all the little things you do and not just the birthdays and weddings and vacations of the year. So I decided to take part. I havent got my Project Life 'kit' yet but I borrowed a few binder pages from a friend who is also doing PL.

PL-4 PL-3 PL-2 PL-1 PL
I think the general idea is to start from Jan 1st but Christmas is my favourite time of year and I wanted to  compare Christmas last yr to this year so I started from the 20th Dec.
I realise this might not be everyones cup of tea but I have really enjoyed doing some crafty and creative and for myself. I buy all these love papers and washi tapes for making cards for friends but
never really get to enjoy any of the produects for myself so this is a great way to indulge my stationary and paper love in myself. :)

Let me know if you like this post/ or want to see more of my Project Life and Ill think about maybe making it a once a month feature?

  12. What a neat idea! I've heard of similar things online, but this is beautiful having it to hold in your hands! How do you print your photo's out? just on a normal printer and cut out the photo's? or do you have one of those fancy photo printers with the special "paper" stuff?

  19. Have been planning to to a collage of my life up to this point and in my mind I see the growth so clearly. I know it will really tell an interesting story, but I have that on hold, like so many other things. Thanks for reminding me of how important it is to complete it at some point.
