So the reason my blog has been so quiet for the past week and a half is that this time last week Dave my lovely boyfriend asked me to marry him! (eep!) I wanted to wait until I had some lovely photographs to share it on the blog but between visiting friends, family, planning an engagement party & endless days of rain it has been difficult.
I want to keep some details private but I will say this.. it was so romantic! He got on one knee on the beach at sunset ( the very same beach he asked me to be his girlfriend on, 4 years ago)
He was so nervous. We sat in silence, in awe of the sparkling diamond ring now on my finger for what seemed like an hour. I feel so lucky to have found the most perfect man & that he loves me for me. He is my friend, my blog photographer, my other half. My love.
The ring is an antique cluster ring from the 1940's set on a thin 18 carat gold band.
Its hard to see the full detail here but its almost like a stain glass window with little diamonds
circling round it. Its my most favorite possession.
