Do it yo-self...

Thursday, May 24, 2012

I like to think of myself as a bit of a comedy jester, cracking jokes and making people laugh. Although I get told on numerous occasions that I find my own jokes funnier than other people, and that I laugh at them more & louder than anyone.. ah well least I make myself chuckle ey?
Anyways, gosh ramble much Vicki?! I have been wanting to introduce DIY's to my blog for aaaages but never had the time to carry out the said diys to blog about them. Well I finally completed one, a simple one but nonetheless. So here it is! hopefully the first of many...

Revamping the slightly tatty old brogues that you cant bare to throw out cos they are just too comfortable.

Remove laces, place on newspaper, stuff inside with paper & spray paint (pref outside) desired colour. I went for silver. Spray 30cm away beware of wind if doing this outside!

Replace old worn laces with new laces or ribbon. Measure out same length as original laces.

Voila! Brogues re-born. You could also paint the toe a different colour to the rest of the shoe,
or have different coloured laces for each brogue? Endless options. :) xo
