I spotted this dress in Republic recently and loved it instantly, the mix of brick red and denim blue was something a bit different and I knew it would work in my current wardrobe perfectly. My mum told when she saw it she had one very similar that she got in America in the 70's. This made me like it even more! I do wish it as a smidge longer though... maybe that's me being prudish but seriously a lot of dresses out at the min are thigh skimming. Not a good look for me!

Coat: Salt & Pepper Sample from work, Dress c/o Republic, Cardy: Oasis, Flecked tights: M&S, Boots: M&S. Necklace: Topshop.
So Im thinking of opening up a blog shop, Ive toyed with the idea many... many times and basically never have enough time/am lazy! But as the heaps of hardly worn clothes pile up Im seriously considering it. This is where I need opinions and help! Which online service is the best?
Ive looked at Goodsie, which seems like a good set up and free for a month which is a big plus, or should I use Bigcartel or just do it through on blogger?
Do you guys shop blog shops? Which kinda site do you prefer?

Too cute. I really like the colors in this dress! You could Storenvy too. It's 100% free, and you can list a lot of products with 5 photos each product. For that feature you have to pay Bigcartel. I use Storenvy, and I know Kaelah from Little Chief Honeybee & Amber from Laughing with Broken Eyes uses it too. It's pretty user friendly.
ReplyDeleteI love the dress, the colours are lovely and I know exactly what you mean, too many dresses are thigh-skimming! xxx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress, the colours look amazing on you x
ReplyDeleteAh I love that dress. I too prefer dresses to be more towards knee length. Yes, open a shop :) I would most definitely take some of your clothes off your hands.
ReplyDeleteYou look great! That dress would be way too short for me, but you make it work :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous outfit! Can't wait to see what you put in your blog shop. For my handmade jewellery I use bigcartel, but you do have to pay if you want to list more than five products. There are different tariffs depending on how many products you want to list xo
ReplyDeleteLooks great on you. You can get away with the length; me on the other hand . . . lol
ReplyDeleteAww, that is such a cute dress! It really suits you! A really good place to sell your old stuff is eBay, but you do have to pay a little bit to list your items. Can't wait till your sale, all of your clothes are so amazing!

This dress is lovely, I've been quite impressed by Republic lately, never used to think much of it! I'm glad dresses are coming up a bit shorter at the moment! My stumpy legs can't handle slightly longer dresses! Really love the second to last photo, you look gorgeous! If your only selling old clothes, I reckon just using blogger would be sufficient! :-) xx
ReplyDeleteThat striped dress has such a lovely colour scheme. x

ReplyDeleteSuch a great outfit. I love the colours on the dress :-) x
ReplyDeleteThat's a really lovely dress! Know what you mean about the shortness thing, it's far too cold for the scary thigh skimming summer dresses that are around at the moment.
ReplyDeleteReally cute dress. I love your glasses too, such a pretty colour :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress. The colours are lovely. I've heard good things about goodsie too xx
ReplyDeleteThe dress is lovely! The colours suit you perfectly.

I love the colourway of this dress but I agree with hating thigh skimmers, dresses are always FAR too short on me and I am only 5'5"!

ReplyDeleteLove the tights and shoes (they go so well with the dress and cardi!!), I love M&S, don't they just do the comfiest tights and socks?! I just got some angora blend knee high socks and they are just wonderful - I love the quality of their items!! x
ReplyDeleteI love the location of all of these photos, so pretty. Where abouts is it? Who takes your photos for you? I always find that the hardest thing is getting someone to take snaps before work etc and also trying to find somewhere good to put them :) xx

ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you about dresses being thigh-skimming, I have that problem ALL THE TIME. But nice dress though!
ReplyDeleteLovely dress! I am the same with an overflowing wardrobe, I was thinking ebay or a blogger shop, I think you have a great following so setting up a blog shop would work perfectly as you wouldn't be short of buyers!
ReplyDeleteLove the colours, I know that you mean about lengths, I like things to the knee.
ReplyDeleteI would just set up a shop that is free, whatever is cheapest and easiest for you x
