Tea and Talks with Vint Junky...

Thursday, February 24, 2011

The other week I mentioned that I had the pleasure of meeting up with the lovely Nic from Vint Junky, a fellow Norn' Iron' gal I knew we would hit it off right away.. We had been in touch via twitter and text for months and shared similar sarcastic humour and general banter..

So yea we meet up one dull grey Sunday afternoon... Two vintage fairs were on in Belfast and I was excited to attend with a girl who has the best vintage blog ever ( in my opinion)
and a wardrobe of vintage treasures that she photographs on her lovely blog..

After a purchase or three ( made by Nic..i got nothin, clearly I need more forging practice!)
We headed to Harlem a funky cafe for a cuppa and a chat..

pretty much the most epic teapot ever in the shape of a tortoise.. i really wanted to steal it.. you'll be glad to hear i fought the urge..

Photo of Nic taken by moi..

Two of Nics purchases.. and yes the clutch in Dior.. I was pretty jealous!

Harlem...

My little handbag..not vintage..not Dior sadly..just plain ole asos...

Im off now to curl up on the sofa to watch Save the last dance with Pudding the pug, i had a truly awful day in work today.. i dont have them often but when I do it makes me question everything. Why Im still working there, my self worth... urgh!

  16. As if she got a Dior clutch. That puts my thrifting skills to shame! However, your bag looks just as lovely, and vintage-esque, which is never a bad thing! God love asos :)

Hope your bad day was just a one off- i get the same thing at uni - often just wonder why the hell i'm here...it's not getting me anywhere! But then realise that everything's just a way of learning stuff...even if that's learning what's not for you

  18. I probably would have stolen the teapot! I've been very tempted by ceramics recently, especially by a giant pig bowl (cute, not as weird as it sounds) which contained sugar cubes in a cupcake/tea shop called Bea's of Bloomsbury.
