Mixing materials...

Sunday, November 07, 2010

For anyone who has read my blog more than once, you'll know that Im slightly obsessed with patterns and prints. Basically nothing in my wardrobe goes together as everything is striped, floral, spotted..you get the idea! Today I decided to just mix everything together, checks, stripes and diamond tights..I really like the results..
Align Centre

Leather bomber jacket: Oasis, Shirt dress worn as top: Asos, waistbelt: Miss Selfridge, High waisted skirt: River Island, Boots & tights: M&S. Ring: Diva, Necklaces: Asos & vintage.

The weather here is freezing, hats and gloves cold.. hence my woolly thermal tights which even though they have holes in them are insanely warm.. I spent the weekend wondering around the city with dave, drinking endless cups of tea to warm up, trying insanely strong cocktails on Saturday night and shopping for a new laptop in Pc world where the sales rep spent half an hr trying to sell me an £899 Mac book when I only have £450 to spend and dont want a mac..totally pointless!
How did you spend your weekend?

  6. I always mix my patterns up- if I didn't my wardrobe would be terribly limited! I'm sure a whole new world of outfit opportunities are now going to present themselves!
I've also had my woollen M&S tights on today to keep out the chill, and a beret for extra warmth!

I'm a massive fan of rocking floral and polka dot together, it's adds a really nice idea of texture to an otherwise plain outfit!

  20. Love it! Only you can mix patterns so well, gorgeous! And good for you holding out on the PC, I still use one and though I like Macs too, I think they're overrated, especially if you're not going to be doing graphic design. No one needs to pay an extra $500 just to be "cool" like the people on the Mac commercials! XX!
