Once upon a time

Sunday, August 22, 2010

Once upon a time there was a girl called Vicki who's lovely other half Dave left her for a weekend on a fishing boat.. this is a photo diary of how she spent her time without him... in the company of her sister Sophie and other lovely girlie friends doing nice girlie stuff..

Listening to She & Him album 2 on Sophies ipod through the car speakers as we drove off to start our day of random adventure...

We headed to a little cafe for caramel coffee milkshakes to fuel ourselves with sugar for the day..

and when this noble place does the best cupcakes in all the land of course we had to indulge... 2 cookies and cream cupcakes with mini oreos..

With our bodies fueled by a sugar overload we set off to find something to feed our souls.. music... art installation in the city of Belfast by artist Luke Jerram... already seen in NYC, Brazil and London. Restored graffiti ed pianos were set up all over the city for everyone to use and enjoy...

Sick of the city, we delved into a forbidden land of unicorns and fairies in the nearby Forest...
ok so i only saw swans and the occasional squirrel.. but I'm sure the unicorns were just hiding..

my comrade in arms.. my sister Sophie...

Then as the sun set and we headed back to our humble abode, it was time for a little pampering.. Barry M nail polish in mint and baby blue, painted my nails in alternate colours..

Opened my mail, Read a lovely pen pal letter from my blogger pen pal in Australia

Opened my new urbanears earphones in colour sage that I ordered last week..

Then I chatted into the wee hours of the morning at a friends house, watching Jerry Maguire, (which I have never seen before) indulging in Ginger Beer and nachos..

THE END.

  35. you write people too! that's awesome. I've been writing my first penpal for 16 years now (so I was 10). . .and have written to over 100 people. My penpal that I tried to write to in Ireland when I was 13 never responded :( quite sad. All my penpals stopped writing after a while, which too was sad (except the one). I love writing letters!!!! . . if you ever want to write to someone in NJ, USA. . . . . .i'm here.

    Those cupcakes look amazing!!
That piano seems like a huge temptation to actually play it. It is so nice that you got to spend such a nice day with your sister.!
