D is for Drape

Tuesday, September 01, 2009

Ok so summer is fading here fast and I was reluctant to get out my winter woolies and fall clothes..
Until i started flicking through British Vogue and seeing the trends for this season. Then I started getting excited. One of my fav trends at the minute is drape, Im loving the loose casual nature of these items which means you can dress them up or down..

  16. I totally agree! & that's great news that it's all Topshop or Miss Selfridge. I've always loved soft knitted things (do you know knitkicks? She's on my blog roll: a fashion/knitwear young designer, who reports on the best UK knit designers). This is the direction fashion has been moving towards throughout recent history: as much as we think of Chanel as 'structured', what a breakthrough she was in terms of un-constructed, soft, comfortable clothes.
And I love the palate: greys, nudes.. the contrast with that to striking heels and booties makes this the most exciting year, fashion wise!

    Okay, I'll shut up now. : )
